Overview

As a member of the Splice team, you will design the music industry’s next generation web platform.

Splice offers a rich platform focusing on helping artists better create, collaborate and distribute their work. Artists interface with Splice via a rich web interface and a local client running on their machine. Because Splice backups all the musicians’ work and dependency files in the cloud, artists can interface with their project timelines, collaborators and releases straight from the web. Furthermore, Splice understands the “DNA” of the music that it processes and therefore has a lot of interesting information to show artists and fans.

We are looking for a designer who will transpose complex technical concepts and flows in a representation that makes sense to muscians. We and our users care a lot about design and to make music better, we believe that the visual representation needs to evolve.

 

What we expect from our designers:

• Capacity to grasp the entire perspective on a situation or issue
• Ability to distill complexity into a simple representation or break it apart into multiple representations
• Great communication skills
• Experience designing rich UI/UX
