Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The Production Manager works alongside the Lighting Director/VJ and is responsible for keeping the venue and its equipment prepared and ready for every show. This includes maintenance of the automation equipment, co2 jets, confetti cannons, and nitrogen equipment. Additional responsibilities involved with this position include overseeing equipment that is brought in for special events and artists as well as setting up and maintaining electronics for banquets and DJ’s.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Leading all technical operations and maintenance of all technical equipment
  • Overseeing all technical staff (hired, sub- contracted)
  • Assisting all Touring Artist Crew
  • Working alongside Venue Management to ensure all staff’s/performers/artists and guests safety
  • Able to travel for training
  • Assisting and/ or completing additional tasks as assigned

EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma Preferred
  • 4+ years in an administrative role with industry experience preferred
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • 21+ years of age
  • Possession of or the ability to possess all state required work cards
  • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards

WORKING KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive knowledge of Audio, Video & Lighting hardware
  • Extensive knowledge VJ and Design software to include Resolume & Adobe CC
  • Knowledge of CO2 effects, handling of CO2 cyclinders
  • Familiar with popular music [EDM, Hip Hop, Top 40]
  • Preferred vendor AV relationships in the San Diego area
  • Proficient in Windows Office, Microsoft Office, Mac OSX

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical equations
  • Must have strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and assertively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with staff, clients, and the general public
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
