The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the specifications, design, and development of large-scale, Internet-based applications. In this role you will work as a key member of the Core Product Development team that delivers scalable, high-performance solutions for multiple product lines across the entire company.

Position Duties:

  • Specification, design, development, and debugging of scalable and high-performance service-based web applications

  • Creation of reusable libraries and application frameworks

  • Using design patterns to solve application issues

  • Evaluate and research latest technologies

  • Support production issues

Skills/Qualifications we are seeking in our Senior Software Engineers:

The prerequisites for joining our development team are simple. We care more about your attitude and aptitude than the specific tools and technologies you have used in the past. You need to have a strong passion for software development and must take pride in your coding. You should also have great analytical skills and ability to handle complex, modular software development in a collaborative team-based environment.
In addition to this, you will have a leg up if you also meet the following criteria:

  • 5 years of programming experience in two or more of the following: C#, Java, C , ASP.NET, MVC, PHP, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, JQuery, Web Services and API development using REST or SOAP

  • Experience with one or more of the following databases: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Redis or other NoSQL technologies

  • BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science OR related technical discipline. Equivalent experience also considered.

This position will be on a sprint team that reports to Cvent HQ but sits in the Austin, TX office of our subsidiary, CrowdTorch.
