Overview
As Flocabulary’s Assistant Production Manager, you will play a significant role in song production, from beat selection to lyric editing to recording artists and providing notes on the mix. You will also work closely with the Curriculum Team and Video Team to ensure that our educational songs and videos are effective, engaging, inclusive and high-quality. The Assistant Production Manager will report to our Director of Production.
Who You Are:
You listen to rap music, could easily name your Top 5 hip-hop artists, and have a great sense of music and rhythm. Whether you have a background in tutoring or editorial work, you love using language to communicate effectively and creatively. You’re equally comfortable talking to all kinds of people: musicians, teachers, rappers, etc. You’re able to juggle lots of projects at the same time. You are confident but humble, and you’re guided by your empathy and compassion.
Responsibilities:
Edit lyrics, working with both the Curriculum Team and lyricists
Produce artists in the studio, giving them performance notes
Provide notes on audio mixes
Communicate with artists to move the project ahead

Requirments
Some college
Some experience in music production
2+ years experience in some combination of education, tutoring, editorial work or journalism
Familiarity with music production software
Ability to work with a wide array of people
Ability to manage multiple moving projects
Strong eye for detail
Great attitude
