If you have a passion for music, a positive attitude, background in writing and a working knowledge of social media, we want to hear from you! Mix 247 EDM is seeking a music journalist intern looking to be a part of our Mix family to work on the station’s website covering the electronic music scene. Including attend music festivals, events, artists interviews track and album reviews, fashion and more.

Club promoters are welcome to apply.

Duties:

Create content for Mix 247 EDM which would include but not limited to latest music news, festival announcements, festival/event reviews, fashion, artist interviews, artist track reviews, etc.
Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be passionate about the electronic dance music community.
  • The ability to monitor trends both locally and nationally and pitch coverage relevant to our audience — both short form as well as long-form — is essential.
  • Editing experience is a plus must be conversant with the music blogosphere for information-gathering.
  • Must have a working knowledge in online publication platforms (specifically WordPress).

  • Must have internet access
  • Team player mindset
  • Be creative
  • Strong Social media presence
  • Excitement about the music industry
  • Solid communication skills is a must
  • A self-motivated attitude towards sourcing the latest dance music news and music releases.
  • Responsible for the maintaining of timely content as it appears on the Web site.

The question we are asked all the time is, “How did you get started?” The short answer is – Vegas. Who doesn’t love Vegas? The vibe, the energy, the escape. We wanted to take that same feeling and bring it to Colorado. With heart and determination we added a team of ravers, writers and lovers of the industry from around the United States who put their heart and soul into everything they do – just like you.

While on this journey we came to realize the lack of promotion of female talent inside the music community. We felt a need to rise up and show the diverse talent out in our creative world. Female empowerment shines though each team member. Not only that but we feature up and coming talent on the rise as well. Everyone deserves a voice in this community – let yours be heard!
