About You:
Rhapsody is seeking an inventive, talented, goal-oriented, data-driven music lover with a passion for building customer communities through social media to drive awareness, engagement, and conversion through social content initiatives. The right person is obsessive about music, artists, and events, and can translate that energy into viral media, and social engagement. The successful candidate can creatively utilize a combination of social network management, community engagement, viral marketing, and on-site opportunities, to contribute to the overall social and editorial strategy. Success in this role is contingent upon possessing a deep understanding of content development; social media tactics and metrics; having experience in overall online marketing; HTML and Adobe Photoshop skills; and having the ability to balance day-to-day fan engagement and content creation with project management.

Responsibilities:
Be the social media expert at Rhapsody, with the confidence and skill set to help define direction for our community outreach efforts.
Manage all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, more) from content creation to implementation and reporting.
Use data from prior initiatives to fine-tune and improve future initiatives.
Identify and create programs and promotions to grow membership and engagement within the social media and community space that align with Rhapsody’s objectives.
Act as the Rhapsody community manager, responding to and engaging fans in conversation.
Partner with third parties, internal product teams, and editorial teams to coordinate social media outreach, content and campaigns.
Track, communicate, and implement new best practices as they become available.
Manage reporting to quantify and qualify effectiveness of interactive campaigns.
Collaborate and maintain close relationships with editorial and product teams to maximize reach of social media efforts and subscriber acquisition investments.
Reach across departments to ensure alignment of all promotions and initiatives across all channels (legal, marketing, PR, technology).
Ability to analyze data and use customer research, data and metrics to back-up assumptions, identify opportunities, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs.
Proven track record writing customer-facing content that is on-brand, relevant, and tailored to the music lover across multiple brand personas.
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS in a related field
5 + years of concentrated experience with all forms of content marketing including social media, video, digital brand marketing, site merchandising and display
Quick turnaround, bias for action, and a compulsion to excel
Excellent writing and presentation skills
Ability to significantly drive engagement and conversion.
Graphic design skills.
Ability to conceptualize and execute projects, with strong bias for action and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of and passion for music and artists, across all genres.
Sense of humor and ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
