Experience
Novmet – 2008-2015
Employed as a Project Manager, I pursued multiple property developments and was in charge of a major land development on Tamborine Mountain. During my time with Novmet, I expanded the business into the international film industry and had numerous high profile films shot on location such as Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken. The expansion into the movie business added to my responsibilities, organizing and dealing with the location managers, producers, set designers and talent. My responsibilities ranged from liaising with council and the relevant professionals, developing plans alongside architects and engineers, ensuring budgets were adhered to and that the property was maintained.
Avocation – 2012-2015
In 2012 I was instrumental in designing and successfully opening a games and hobby retail store and community project by the name of Avocation. As treasurer and purchase manager I dealt with orders, merchandising, design, branding, customer relations, PR, event planning and accounting. I helped increase the sales at Avocation by 200% by arranging events and promotions.
Bakers Club / Devour – 2011-2014
In 2011 when Novmet purchased Bakers Club, I was appointed general manager and director of the business. I was responsible for all aspects of maintaining the 3 stores and ensuring the company ran more efficiently. I dealt directly with staff, merchandising, franchisees, and media relations, corporate events. In 2014 I lead the re-branding of the company to Devour.
Fogal & Hanro – 2001-2008
Fogal and Hanro, a high-end fashion retail store based in Queensland, Australia, specializing in imported fashion from Europe and acting as wholesaler for numerous fashion brands including Max Mara. My responsibilities ranged from accounting, merchandising, sales, stock control, logistics and shop building. Over my years with the business, which began as a wholesaler, I was integral to the growth of the company to 4 additional locations from the Gold Coast to Port Douglas.
Statewide Entertainment – 2002-2005
At Statewide Entertainment I dealt with all aspects of the events company; from sound technician to DJ. I worked alongside the owner on large-scale events with responsibilities ranging from logistics to long distance transportation, sound technician, merchandise sales and was consequently promoted to DJ. I assisted the business in expanding interstate and increasing the company size to 3 Trucks supplying to 3 different venues 2-3 nights a week.
