I chose an album or was assigned an album, and I spent about a week listening to the album multiple times a day, and wrote down a basic outline of the highlights of the album. Further, I would conduct research on the band and their musical patterns if I was unfamiliar with their previous work, and I would compare their latest work to their previous releases.

I bought my own ticket to a show, and attended the show, during the show I would take notes on my phone, and record segments for my own personal records to refer back too. The next day I would begin drafting my review of the show, and generally by the end of the day, I submitted my article to be published. *The only show I went to for free was Warped Tour 2016 when I was conducting press.

During my time with OTH! I covered the Detroit date for Warped Tour in 2016, which included official credentials, access to the press box, and the artist’s tour bus lot.
