Overview

Responsibilities:

Monitor the platform for spammy or otherwise malicious behavior, both from human and machine sources
Devise methods to deal with these problems, ideally not only from a technical perspective
Implement, test and refine countermeasures to provide our users with the best experience when using SoundCloud
Requirements:
Solid experience with Scala, Java, Ruby or Python and at least one more language (preferably C/C++)
Experience with Ruby on Rails or any MVC application framework
Great SQL skills, including complex queries and optimization
Experience in working with very large datasets
Background in machine learning
A passion for fighting the ‘bad guys’
Bonus:

Experience with spam/fraud detection
Experience in information retrieval or data mining
Experience with content analysis, pattern recognition, applied statistics
Experience with anomaly detection and intrusion detection systems
