Overview
APPLICATION SPECIALIST is assigned entry level responsibilities involving the planning and development of automated application systems to support the business needs of the organization. This position will serve as the first level of application support for all end users. In addition this position will oversee all tier I system changes including but not limited too; product and pricing changes, user interface changes, and end user access maintenance. With support from other Application Specialists and Management this position will help contribute to the review and analysis of user functions and activities, evaluation of available resources and current systems, and the development of appropriate programs or systems.
Provides tier I end user application support
Communicates, reacts, and documents all end user support needs in accordance to IS help desk standards
Provides continuing application training for current and new talent
Analyzes and evaluates processes related to information flow
Creates process maps and use cases to display end user interactions with systems
Leverage SQL, VBA, or similar skills to efficiently model data to meet business needs
Configures, troubleshoots and resolves application problems remotely
Assists in the creation, testing, and installation of Information System standards
Tier I database maintenance; preforms product and price changes, and configures user interface, and application, design
Effectively communicates with field, and management, any system issues/anomalies and report unresolved problems promptly
Assists and/ or completes additional tasks as assigned
