INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION: The Junior Graphic Design Intern is responsible supporting the design team in the process of designing both print and digital materials for internal company branding and external marketing tactics. From social media promotion to print production to merchandise design and more, the junior designer will be expected to work in a variety of media while still maintaining the look and feel of our unique brand.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU: Working directly with our on-staff design team, this role provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable work experience in the field of graphic design. In addition to having fun and learning about festival production and in-house agency processes, you will gain precious real-world experience in your field, as well as learning important time management and project organization skills. From concept to completion, you will have the opportunity to work with various departments’ “clients” and learn how to best meet their design needs.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Creating necessary graphic pieces for print and web from scratch or within a prescribed style-guide
Updating existing art, modifying templates, and combining pre-designed elements to create new compositions
Engaging with the marketing team, as well as the event producers to co-create new design concepts
Creating project timelines and meeting deadlines
Staying abreast of current design trends within the festival industry
Digital file management and organization (an underestimated aspect of design life)
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must be currently enrolled in a college or university
A working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite applications: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
An innate sense of design and composition
A GPA of 3.0 or above
Proven interest in music, art, live events, or music festival culture
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Winning attitude and zest for creating art
Credit

DoLaB will work with institutions to assure the internship is designed to meet credit requirements.
