Overview

EDM Authority are looking for talented writers, journalists and bloggers to join an exciting new dance music blog.

You will be contributing articles to our online blog – covering topics such as music, events, technology, breaking news, advice columns and more. This may include attending concerts/festivals, interviewing artists and capturing content for our social media channels.

We’re looking for people that live in the world of dance music. Whether you love clubbing, producing, DJing or work in the industry, we’re looking for people that can bring their own experience and interests to the team.

Our contributors have control over how frequently they work with us, and the topics that they cover. We regularly offer article topics out to contributors to write, but you will also be able to pitch your own articles before writing them yourself.

You will need to work to EDM Authority writing guidelines, and all contributions will be cleared by a editor before publication. However, contributors are given creative control over their pieces to share their genuine thoughts, experiences etc. All work will be accredited towards you.

Experience in writing is required, but does not have to be specific to dance music or journalism. This role is perfect for students or those looking to gain experience in writing and journalism.

PAY
We pay contributors on a per-article basis. This amount varies from £8 – £25 depending on the type of article. A full breakdown of article pay is included in our Writing Guidelines and will be agreed with the contributor before commission.

There is no guaranteed amount of work, and contributors will be able to choose how much/little they write for us.

APPLY
Send an email to jackfrain@edmauthority.com explaining a little about yourself, your involvement in dance music and why you’d like to write for EDM Authority. Please include any previous work if appropriate.

We will then contact you to arrange a informal-interview to discuss your interests and explain more about EDM Authority.

You may then be asked to write a short test-article on a particular topic for review before joining the team.
