Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: It is the primary responsibility of the Director of Strategic Sourcing & Purchasing to provide sourcing
and purchasing leadership services to Hakkasan Group to ensure the Company acquires goods and services at the best total
value. The Director of Strategic Sourcing & Purchasing oversees sourcing and purchasing programs and staff to achieve
company goals as well as plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of buyers, purchasing officers, and related workers
involved in purchasing materials, products, and services. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and
Hakkasan Group policies, practices and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
– Identify and prioritize value improvement and/or cost reduction opportunities
– Plan and monitor cost savings throughout the Company to achieve targets and goals
– Use techniques such as bid processes, TCO, value analysis, supplier rationalization, item rationalization, demand
management, make/buy and lease/buy analysis
– Demonstrate commodity knowledge and ability to design sourcing and purchasing strategies in food & beverage as
well as any of the following categories: IT and telecom, professional services including marketing, advertising and
consulting, construction and facility goods and services, corporate and hotel supplies and services, MRO and other
commodity area
– Guide the purchasing teams in market research activities, business case preparation, and financial analyses that
support strategic sourcing and purchasing activities
– Facilitate and lead major bid processes, often across functional business units and properties, to successful completion
– Select, use and train others to use RFx tools, strategic sourcing tools, SRM (Supplier Relationship Management)
systems, and contract management systems
– Negotiate, write, and oversee enterprise supplier/vendor contracts
– Guide purchasing teams and other Company stakeholders in new supplier or new program implementations
– Monitor and report on supplier/vendor performance; ensure regular supplier/vendor performance reviews with
stakeholders are done
– Interview, hire, and performance manage purchasing employees as necessary to ensure a high-performing corporate
strategic sourcing and procurement team is contributing to Company success
– Mentor, train and develop employees by conducting performance coaching and reviews and facilitating relevant
training
– Develop and/or manage annual budgets
– Performs other job related duties as assigned
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
– Must have a four year degree, beyond High School diploma or equivalent, in business or related field
– Graduate degree or advanced education is strongly preferred
– Certification by the Institute of Supply Management (ISM) or similar organization preferred
– At least 7 years (Seven) of business experience in a leadership role
– Supply Chain, Finance, operations and/or consulting experience preferred
– Three years (3) strategic sourcing or supply management experience with spend responsibility of at least $100 million
preferred to include conducting complex bid processes and negotiating large supplier agreements
– Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
– Valid Driver’s License
– 21+ years of age
– Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standardsWORKING KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
– Working knowledge of financial and purchasing systems strongly preferred
– Must have strong analytical skills
– Must have excellent communication skills, in both verbal and written form
– Advanced computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Access and Visio skills helpful
– Proficient in Windows Office, Microsoft Office, Mac OSX, POS systems
