Overview

Pop culture website looking for writers who can produce original content for a variety of projects. The writer’s position will include research and writing content. The Writer position is a learning experience rooted in real time work situations. This position is designed for someone aspiring for a hands-on experience, that gives them a chance to work directly in their field at an internship level. We are searching for driven, intelligent and independent individuals who are looking for a chance to work directly in the field they are interested in.

 

Responsibilities
●      Assist with editorial projects and provide support to the editors.

●      Work on special projects as needed

●      You must have excellent communication skills and be able to meet all deadlines.

●      Help with creating interesting and relevant online posts about relevant news and pop culture

 

Qualifications
●      Be 18 years or older

●      Working towards a Bachelor’s degree or higher in journalism or a related field

●      Strong organizational and communication skills with keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills

●      Experience interest in web maintenance

●      Familiarity with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat is a plus

●      Must have a very strong grasp of grammar and language

●      Provide two writing samples of blogs that show your best writing

●      Make a commitment of at least 15 hours per week
