The Role:

HARD Events is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Director of Marketing to oversee the development and execution of effective marketing strategies and campaigns to meet company objectives.

He/she will have experience in a high-pace/competitive environment and consumer insights to inform marketing plans.  The Director of Marketing will be an expert in leading development of marketing plans and briefs in order to align senior leadership and supervise a team of fellow colleagues.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and execute effective marketing strategies, plans and briefs
  • Design and execute digital marketing campaign strategies custom tailored for company festivals, one-off events, tours, and other digital properties, ensuring that audiences are aligned with top business priorities and goals, including: CRM, revenue, interest, awareness, loyalty and satisfaction
  • Evaluate executions during and after campaign launch for optimization
  • Oversee junior members of marketing team by clearly stating goals and objectives; maintaining open communication; and motivating to accomplish tasks
  • Oversee creation and day-to-day maintenance of company digital properties such as HARDfest.com, festival specific micro-sites, mobile apps, and social media platforms
  • Lead creative process for marketing campaigns; deliver critical analysis based on consumer insights and campaign objectives; present recommendations to senior leadership and gain alignment in order to stay on timeline
  • Liaise with company’s creative team, both graphic-design and multi-media asset creation, in order to ensure all marketing assets are created to company’s standard and needs
  • Demonstrate technical marketing skills and high-levels of company product knowledge
  • Develop and deliver campaign recaps, updates and brand reporting with accuracy and in a timely manner; recommendations for future execution
  • Manage the day-to-day marketing plan implementation and budgets
  • Manage relationships with outside media/PR agencies, publishers & vendors and partners
  • Work closely with internal talent booking, design, production & social team 
  • Execute all initiatives through direct reports and close management of outside media partners
  • Analyze and make recommendations for potential strategic partner relationships for brands and promotions
  • Lead on-site executions at events to exploit presence and further brand storytelling
  • Track, analyze, and present metrics to marketing leadership with insights on impact to company and clear recommendations on how to move forward
  • Build trust, collaborate/value others, communicate effectively (written and oral), drive execution, foster innovation, solve problems creatively and demonstrate integrity
  • Support strategic business objectives by infusing digital recommendations into broader marketing plans
Job Requirements :
Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 4-year Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred but not required
  • Must have at least 5 years of relevant Brand Marketing experience. Experience in live music events a must
  • Global/international brand experience a plus
  • Must have a passion for music

Requirements & Expectations:

  • World class marketing campaign experience a MUST
  • Creative and production experience essential across various forms of media
  • Highly adaptive and proactive problem solving critical to success
  • Attends and works company events (domestic/international travel expected)
  • Adheres to all requirements for confidentiality of corporate, strategic and marketing information
  • Communicates effectively and courteously with all contacts – internal/external
  • Organizes workload throughout the day to meet project timelines
  • Uses personal vehicle to travel to business engagements; may travel out of town on business
  • Must have clean criminal and driving record, current license, passport, and car insurance
  • Works evening and weekend hours as needed to meet deadlines and works effectively under high level of pressure and demanding time lines
  • Assists with other duties as assigned on a regular or occasional basis

Computer & Equipment Skills:

  • Has excellent knowledge of computer operations and software on either MAC or PC and works with a high degree of accuracy
  • Expert level user of Microsoft Office; use of Marketing & Research tools
