Overview

Monitors and analyzes demand patterns, the effectiveness of restrictions and other selling strategies, and daily future turndowns and lost business.

Develop and implement daily selling strategies and provide a selling strategy critique on a weekly basis.

Work with Sales, Catering and Conference Planning to balance transient and group business. Provide feedback on profitability of new group blocks.

Analyze no-shows, same-day cancel, early departure, unexpected stay-over patterns.

Charges all no shows and handles all disputes of these charges.

Assist with product development and marketing of transient packaging.

Adjusts all rates and minimum night stay requirements daily on property and through all transient channels (GDS, ADS, etc)

Prepares weekly pace reports, holiday comparison reports, package comparison and budget expense lines, availability displays, rate calendars for reservations, front office, and with any miscellaneous data.

Trains all new employees. Retrains present employees at least two hours per month on basic job skills.

Answers questions regarding rate structures, packages, room types and locations.

Ability to explain reservation statuses, cancelation policies, hotel facilities, transportation and nearby attractions.

Daily operations of the PMS system to acquire data on occupancy room blocks and group status; to analyze and react to situations promptly.

Ability to implement the guest history program into the daily routine.

Review daily work of the reservations agents.

Insure the accuracy of reservations.

Run a trace report on a daily basis reminding the sales department of decision due dates and cut-off dates.

Verify that no 3rd party channels have a lower rate publish then our brand.com

Enter rooming list and booking recaps when their reservation agent is not present.

Attend and run daily yield meeting. To insure proper rates are being sold.

Attend weekly sales strategy meeting.

Provide daily pick-up to General Manger and Director of Rooms.

Attend daily stand up meeting with other department heads.

Attend weekly staff meeting and bring revenue reports to share with team.

E-Competence Responsibilities:

* Utilize enhanced descriptions in all applicable areas

Third Party Website Management
* Manage content and images
* Monitor consumer reviews

Group Sales Websites (Starcite, Hotel Travel Index, On-Vantage)
* Manage content and images
* Update promotions and packages

Lodging Interactive Website Management
* Manage content and images
* Utilize monthly marketing reports to interpret search optimization and booking revenue

Research and present GM , DOPS and DOSM opportunities for additional marketing and exposure on the Internet. Stay abreast to changes in the online marketing environment to best serve the objectives of the Hotel’s revenue budget and adjust plans accordingly.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Working knowledge of all major hotel brands
Marriott & Hilton experience preferred
Strategic thinker
Strong communicator
Proven analytical abilities
Strong revenue background: 3 years experience
Available for relocation if needed
Salary: Commensurate with experience
