Ministry of Sound are looking for an experienced International Manager to manage international licensing, promotions and marketing for our growing roster of artists. You will be required to seek and negotiate international licensing deals and oversee the international promotion and marketing of our artist releases via international licensees, working closely with the UK A&R and Marketing team.

You must have a passion for music, excellent organisational and communication skills and an established network of international label contacts.

Key responsibilities:

To oversee the international licensing strategy for all dance single releases on Ministry of Sound and associated labels, working in close collaboration with the A&R Director, including: soliciting tracks for offers; negotiating and agreeing license deals; requesting and sending invoices and monitoring incoming payments; coordinating, logging and dispatching parts; liaising with international licensees on release strategy, marketing plans, promotion requests and contractual approvals e.g. artwork; liaising with internal teams and artist management on all international promotion and circulate regular update reports on international plans and progress
To input on international licensing strategy for frontline artist development projects e.g. London Grammar, DJ Fresh etc with the A&R Director, Marketing Director and Managing Director and where required, participate in the deal negotiation process. Then, to request and send invoices and monitor incoming payments; coordinate, log and dispatch parts; liaise with international licensees on release strategy, marketing plans, promotion requests and contractual approvals e.g. artwork; liaise with internal teams and artist management on all international promotion and circulate regular update reports on international plans and progress
With the A&R Director, Marketing Director and Managing Director, set the annual targets for international licensing and ensure these are adhered to and monitored closely throughout the year, including, as above, taking responsibility for all invoicing out and monitoring income and royalty accounting coming in
Liaise with Legal & Business Affairs on all individual international license deals, ensuring contracts are briefed and requested in a timely manner and deal terms are negotiated within the parameters of our artist contracts
Develop and maintain excellent relationships and regular contact with all of our international label partners, identify prospective new label partners and attend international conferences like MIDEM and ADE when required
To accompany artists on international promotional trips when required

Person specification:

Strong experience in International Licensing, Promotions or Marketing for a music company
Experience in negotiating licensing deals and deal terms
Ability to understand artist contracts
Experience in dealing with artists and artist management and organising and coordinating promotional schedules
Experience of managing or contributing to artist marketing campaigns (UK or international)
Excellent communication & networking skills, with a good network of international contacts
A passion for and good knowledge of music
Pro-active, self-motivated & focused
Excellent organisational skills and an ability to multi-task and prioritise
Creative and full of ideas to grow this area & maximise income
