YOUR ROLE
As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Native Instruments, you will play a key role as a member of our software development team. The team will rely on you to provide accurate information about the state of our products. Your daily tasks vary from implementation, development and execution of different tests as well as exploring and learning in an efficient and self organized manner. You understand agility, act proactively and avoid bottlenecks by doing the right tests at the right time. You’ll work with Scrum in an agile team and you know that the product is not done unless it’s tested. You are part of a team and work together to address all issues.

YOUR TASKS
-Work inside our cross-functional agile team, closely cooperating with developers, ux, product owner, scrum master and other stakeholders
-Contribute throughout the product development lifecycle: from product planning to release
-Perform risk-aware exploratory, regression and acceptance testing
-Work with the team to understand quality expectations
-Contribute to continuous improvement

YOUR PROFILE
-Successfully completed degree in IT, software engineering, audio engineering or working experience in those fields
-Knowledge of current testing practices in the software industry
-Ability to understand complex requirements
-Clear, concise verbal and written communication in English
-Working experience in agile software development
-Passionate about digital music production

Desirable:
-Interest in different scripting languages (e.g. Python, Javascript) is a plus
-Experience of automated testing frameworks (e.g. Robot Framework)
-Experience of using Jira
-Knowledge of NI products

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AT NATIVE INSTRUMENTS
More than 75 people at Native Instruments work in the area of Product Development – the largest branch of the company. The team of mostly Software Developers and Hardware Engineers is continually supported by the Quality Assurance (QA) Team. Together with Product Managers, Product Designers, and Project Managers, interdisciplinary teams develop all of Native Instruments products and technology. In addition to the maintenance of existing products, Product Development works on building brand new ideas and concepts. From project development to finished product, ensuring professional quality is the measure of their success.
