Overview
The Marketing Server Host provides attentive service to all customers while also taking and serving beverage orders. Marketing Server Hosts are responsible for presenting themselves as a positive reflection of the venue while marketing to potential customers at all times
Responsibilities:
Must have a working knowledge of spirits, wine and beer as well as all other products offered.
Must be able to meet marketing requirements as set by management, as per the Company’s Marketing Requirement Plan.
Must be driven to focus on upselling at all times.
Must be able to follow established cash handling procedure to tender customer checks.
Must possess basic computer abilities and experience working with a POS system.
Must be able to lift and carry a tray, weighing a minimum of 25 pounds in a busy, crowded and dimly lit environment.
Must be organized, follow directions and make quick decisions that are consistent with established company standards.
Must be fluent in the English language, both written and oral. Multilingual skills are a plus.
Must possess a valid alcohol awareness card and a health department card.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Complies with all state and federal liquor laws
Qualifications:
Acts as an ambassador of the venue, marketing the venue and all products offered to the targeted customer base.
Collect customer information for the venue database, while constantly striving to increase the size of your personal clientele.
Meets marketing requirements established by management, as per the Company’s Marketing Requirement Plan.
Prepares all products according to established venue recipes, focusing on proper portion size control.
Exhibits and executes a complete knowledge of the venue’s sequence of service and selling technique.
Provides each customer with a properly itemized bill and secure payment according to established venue procedures.
Works with a sense of urgency to anticipate customer needs and assist other team members when the opportunity arises.
Communicates with management, VIP hosts & service staff to rectify any and all customer needs, comments or incidents.
Ensures that assigned area, side station, tables and POS stations are clean and well stocked at all times.
Communicates and works with all support staff to ensure inventory is maintained at established par levels.
Adheres to all established policies, procedures and guidelines.
Entertains customers while inside of the venue, taking advantage of every opportunity to upsell while service is executed according to the sequences of service at all times.
Must be neat and clean in appearance and physically fit to perform the duties required.
Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift & to work inside assigned bar area in the venue.
Must be able observant and quick to respond to various situations while multitasking.
Must be able to operate: POS, juice, soda and liquor guns, ice machines, shot glasses, mixers, pourers, espresso machine.
Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend climb and carry objects as necessary.
Must be able to work in a fast pace and high-volume environment in the presence of areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, dancing, bright lights and dust and communicate during this time – sometimes within a small area.
Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based upon business volumes.
