SBE MIAMI One
The Host position is responsible for meeting, greeting, and seating guests, in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. The Host Person seats guests and manages the flow of reservations to maximize the guest experience. The Host Person will also be responsible for answering the phone and taking, tracking, and organizing reservations, to-go orders, and special requests. Have fun and make friends!!!
Responsibilities:
Approaches guest and collects information needed to assist with seat and bar arrangements.
Constantly provides guests with accurate information about the venue and property as well as entertainment offered in each.
Works with a sense of urgency to anticipate guest and team members needs when the opportunity arises.
Maintains knowledge of the venue floor plan and table numbers, seating the room evenly and consistently per venue management’s instruction.
Communicates with management, and service staff immediately to rectify any and all guest needs and requests.
Qualifications:
Must exhibit a focused attention to detail, while working in a high-pressure environment.
Able to write and speak in a confident manor.
Must possess a valid health department card.
Greet all guests warmly.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Experience with taking reservations a plus.
Recent experience as a hostess.
Must be 18 years of age or older to qualify for this position.
Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift.
Must be able observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations.
Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend climb and carry objects as necessary.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Must be able to work in a fast pace and high-volume environment in the presence of areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, dancing, bright lights and dust and communicate during this time – sometimes within a small area.
Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based upon business volumes.
