Overview

Responsibilities:
Be a thought leader in creating and driving branding strategy for assigned artists and projects.
Direct strategy supporting marketing efforts for album releases and artist touring.
Develop marketing campaigns that effectively accomplish artist objectives; work closely with internal and external functional teams.
Lead marketing team in strategy development, planning meetings, and consumer profiles. Provide significant input into marketing plans.
Develop 3-year plans for artists, base branding strategy on and compare marketing campaigns to 3-year plans.
Direct the strategic use of assigned marketing budget.
Write and present strategy briefs and situational/competitive analyses projects.
Provide visual branding direction for artist imaging, album packaging, and music/marketing videos for the artist roster in coordination with the creative team.
Lead creative process for and research unique marketing opportunities to help support an artist brand.
Lead brainstorming, strategic, and tactical planning meetings to provide cross-functional synergy.
Analyze market conditions and marketing plan effectiveness on an ongoing basis.
Develop and maintain professional relationships in six key areas: A&R, functional teams (e.g., promotions, marketing, operations, etc.), senior management, artists, artist managers, and booking agents. Serve as primary artist manager contact within marketing team.
Coordinate and attend industry events and appearances for artists.
Travel for promotional events and meetings when necessary. (Approximately but not limited to 3 days per month.)
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience in marketing required.
Demonstrated creative experience, including campaign oversight and team leadership in a creative arena required.
Experience in Christian music industry a plus.
