Responsibilities
Build web-based applications and interfaces and contribute to our platforms, APIs and libraries
Coordinate with other teams to incorporate their work (and evangelize your own)
Conduct design and code reviews
Deploy your code and communicate across teams
Ensure your application is accessible to the largest possible audience, while being mindful of performance
Be proactive; go beyond expectations.
Required Qualifications
A strong set of front-end skills (core JavaScript, CSS, HTML5)
Experience creating responsive, device-agnostic interfaces via progressive enhancement
An understanding of object-oriented programming and software design patterns
You are comfortable working with PHP or another backend language
You care about software quality
Enthusiasm for working with Agile processes (Scrum/Kanban/TDD/XP/…) in a tight-knit, collaborative team
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong spoken and written communication skills
You have experience working in a GNU/Linux environment (ideally Debian-based)
Preferred Qualifications
An understanding of internationalization, localization and associated headaches
Dedication to unit testing, code review and other quality-oriented practices
Experience working with git
Participation in free and open source software development
A cool hobby project that you want to show us
A degree in Computer Science or similar
