Overview
At Spotify, we know that learning directly from our users is the best way to build a great product. The user research team is accountable for defining, planning and conducting user research and delivering insights back to the product, design and marketing organizations. Ultimately, your work facilitates key decision-making to help Spotify create a great consumer experience.
This is a new role for Spotify. Working with the Director of User Research, you will actively participate in establishing and innovating user research practice, integrating it into the product development process, and communicating insights with the rest of the company.
Requirements:
5+ years experience in a research role at a consumer-focused company
Degree in HCI, Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, Social Science or a related field
Experience and expertise in qualitative research methods including planning, reporting and fieldwork methods (interviews and observation).
Experience of user research across multiple platforms
Familiarity with quantitative research methods, an understanding of metrics and A/B testing, and willingness to integrate quantitative data with qualitative user research.
Exceptional communication skills; storytelling; ability to speak fluently to business people, partners and engineers (in English)
