Overview
About You
You are a mature, intrinsically-motivated, well-rounded systems/data engineer, with a deep understanding of how to make infrastructure resilient and how to scalably process terabytes of data.
You have about 5 years of experience, possibly spanning both software development and systems engineering. You’re comfortable with Linux, managing public or private cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS or Openstack), working with databases (e.g., MySQL or MongoDB), and processing reams of data with Hadoop (and associated tools around like Impala, Pig, Hive, or Oozie).
You love learning, and sharing what you’ve learned with others. You may have presented at a meetup or conference on some of the technologies listed above, or have contributed to an open source project.
