Azeem X Underbelly UK Tour – Tour Manager June – Oct 2015
Responsibilities:
Identify, establish and maintain relationships with relevant media outlets.
Organize merchandise, food, transportation, accommodation, entertainment, interviews, and test fan response to maximize sales.
Manage a touring budget.
Accomplishments:
Stimulated press coverage, airplay, and visibility for clients.
Followed through commitments/events with talent buyers by setting deadlines and following up weekly.
Built a following on social media accounts.
Established connections with agents throughout the UK for future events, references, and collaborations.
Created budget plan and proposed new touring opportunities to optimize returns.
Successfully toured 12 cities, performing 22 shows in 5 weeks throughout the United Kingdom.
UCSB Music Department – Recording Technician and Stagehand Oct 2011- June 2015
Responsibilities:
Record Events and Concerts within the music department.
Operate a Digital Audio Workstation, Protools, Logic.
Provide guidance and mentorship to newly hired employees.
Load, set up, and assist with small/large venue shows.
Accomplishments:
Provided assistance to guest artists and head staff.
Recorded superb audio quality concerts and events.
Received promotional raise for outstanding dedication and commitment.
Successfully coordinated 150+ events over the course of 4 years working part time as a full time student. Achieved this while working in high pressure environments throughout multiple part time jobs and undergraduate studies.
Additional Experience
Goleta Unified School District – Flute Instructor Sept 2013 – Jun 2015
Responsibilities:
Organize lesson plans for multiple flute classes in the elementary school setting.
Teach 4th, 5th, and 6th grade flute beginner students with an average of 15 students per class.
Educate students on music theory, musicianship, notation, and foundational fundamentals on the flute.
Provide a warm enhancing environment for students to engage and thrive in.
Accomplishments:
Performed alongside the students in parades and concerts to help encourage and motivate them to perform at their best.
Selected students of mine were invited to perform as a soloist at the band concerts due to their outstanding progress throughout the school year.
Educated students on the values, traditions, and history of playing a musical instrument. Accomplished this while working in a high stress environment, and adapting to the needs of particular students.
