“Be the change you want to see in the world”, a quote that west coast native producer, DJ, and radio show host Kane Michael holds close to heart. At only 23, his sound is something that can only be described by one word: diverse.

Discontent with the state of electronic music, Kane Michael seeks to be a leader of change by striving to create the most cutting edge electronic music possible. Using his background of being in punk rock bands, he infuses his influences from techno, psytrance, and drum & bass to create a sound like nothing else before.

As an alumni of the prestigious Icon Collecting music production school, Kane Michael studied under legendary artist and engineer Steve Duda, who he attributes to his production skills.

Although a producer and DJ of electronic music, Kane draws influences from outside his domain being a lover of many other styles of music such as blues, heavy metal, classical, and even ethnic music.

Although a relatively fresh name, Kane Michael has already gained massive support from some of the industry’s most game changing artists such as Simon Patterson, Astrix, Boomjinx, Freedom Fighters, and Will Atkinson, who Kane has formed future legendary duo Josep & Kane.

As a DJ, what separates Kane from rest is his constantly evolving sets in which he masterfully blends various genres to create a real sonic journey, relentlessly searching for new records to keep him ahead of the competition.

As a radio host, his trendsetting podcast “Lights Out Radio” has gained international support by breaking down genre boundaries and instead focusing on creating a journey through the underground’s most upfront and forward thinking electronic music.

Being only 23 and already having a signature sound, this is only just the beginning of a budding career in the making. Having a radio show with guest mixes from legendary artists, and support from the scene’s biggest names, Kane Michael is a glimpse of what electronic music can be.
