Description
Dear Recruitment Department,
My name is Elio D’Amico and I am a junior attending Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business, pursuing a degree in finance. I encountered your summer internship posting through an online internship database. This is my first semester back since returning from studying at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China.
Finance, business, and entertainment are my biggest interests when thinking about my future and career. Understanding the movement of money through businesses and government is something I very much enjoy. It has always been my goal to become the Chief Financial Officer of a major corporation. While in China, I was able to study the Asian markets and their effects on the rest of the world. I discovered more about myself and grew as a resourceful individual. It is my goal to work for an employer who will offer challenges and opportunities for development. After reviewing your position posting, I am certain that I want to apply for your company’s internship opportunity. If I acquired this internship position, I would bring my growing knowledge and skills from in and outside the classroom.
This semester has been a very busy one. I am currently taking six courses and have many responsibilities in clubs and organizations around Loyola. I currently hold the position of Secretary for my fraternity, Tau Kappa Epsilon, and also hold the Junior-Class Representative for Loyola’s Leadership for Social Change Learning Community. Alongside working for Datatang while in Beijing, I volunteered through the University of International Business and Economics’ language department and tutored fellow Chinese university business students in English and Spanish. Being in past leadership positions, as well as studying in China, I have become extremely independent and self-motivated while maintaining a humble and positive mindset. I have also picked up social, management, and technological skills. I understand interns are given various responsibilities and work in a dynamic environment. I know I have both the patience and techniques to learn quickly and can be a valuable asset to your organization.
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to review this letter and resume; I appreciate your consideration. I would welcome the opportunity to further discuss my qualifications for the internship. Please contact me if you have any further questions. I look forward to the conversation.
Sincerely,
Elio Alexander Maximilian D’Amico
