Description
My name is Gabriel Esquivel and I am very interested in the position of junior video editor. Based on the job description, I feel that my skills and experience would make me a perfect candidate for this position.
I received my BA in Film Studies from the University of Colorado and graduated in 2016 with a 3.263 GPA. Additionally, I recently completed a full-time internship as a video producer/editor with the Hunter-Douglas Corporation. My day-to-day responsibilities included shooting, editing and producing video content for their learning and development organization. Additionally, I was also responsible for keeping the studio organized, collaborating with other members of the video department, writing scripts and developing creative briefs for our clients.
I believe that I have a well-rounded skill set and am comfortable with every phase of the video production process from storyboarding to script development, shooting, editing and final delivery.
Personally, I’m a highly creative person and thrive in a collaborative team environment. I pay great attention to the details of every project and believe that video content should be engaging and employ storytelling whenever possible. In addition to my video production skills, I have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a desire to continue to grow and learn new things.
I have attached a copy of my resume with additional information about my qualifications. Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to receiving your reply.
Sincerely,
Gabriel Esquivel
