WIVK-FM, Knoxville, Tennessee

Executive Producer / On-Air Talent, Oct 1999 – Nov 2017

Writer, editor and performer of comedy sketches, street stunts, song/commercial parodies, contests, as well as the cast of show characters with emphasis on local content.

Responsible for construction and daily organization of show prep, guests, comedy bits and elements that both support the morning show and station contesting, promotions and imaging campaigns.

On-air host of daily one-hour ‘Warm Up Show’ from 5-6am that led into morning show.

Consistent #1 ratings in the market throughout the 18-year time frame. Held a 14 share average or higher based on demographics and dayparts with a weekly cume of over 200,000 persons 12+, with a TSL of 7.5 hours.

Created revenue opportunities for radio station. Revenue drivers included promotions with created NTR (Non-tradition revenue), contests, live broadcasts from local businesses, and on-air endorsements with clients such as Comcast, Low T Center, Metro by T-Mobile, Mattress Firm, Johnsonville, and many others. Maintained strong relationships with station clients to keep their advertising dollars in-house. WIVK generated approx $10 million in revenue on a yearly basis.

Active participant in social media and producer of creative, engaging digital content for station and client websites.

Live manager, editor and in-studio board operator to maximize moment-to-moment content, sound and presentation. Digital workstations used include TLC, Scott Systems, AudioVault, VoxPro and Adobe Audition.

Liason between promotions/marketing, programming and sales departments to brainstorm ideas that were mutually-beneficial and to generate revenue.

Was on the forefront of a multi-camera Facebook Live streaming broadcast of morning show which led to more engagement and interactivity with listeners in this ever-changing digital climate.

On-site talent for station remotes, charity appearances and community involvement. Highly involved with organizations such as St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Thompson Cancer Survival Center and many other organizations. Helped raise $7.4 million for St. Jude, $350,000 for Dolly Parton’s “My People” Fund (victims of Smoky Mountain wildfires), and over $1 million for East Tennessee Children’s Hospital with Fantasy of Trees.
