This is a working farm: Maintained the grounds/vineyards. Harvested grapes. Crushed grapes. Pressed grapes. Blended juice from grapes and fermented into wine. Bottled/labeled the product. Created new events at the vineyards & winery. Planned and coordinated events at Perigeaux by working with clients and vendors. Booked live music. Operated multiple company social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.). Advertised/Marketed/promoted the Perigeaux brand and the events at the vineyard/winery. Supervised 6 to 9 student employees that work in University Dining Services (Commons dining hall). A lot of work involved assuring that self-serve food items were always available to customers. There were also numerous times this position functioned as a short order cook/line cook. Worked in the Commons dish washing room when required to too.

Office of New Student Experience Outdoor Programs – Salisbury University
Mentored incoming freshmen during a credit bearing, 12 day trip to Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada. Guided the freshmen as we canoed, hiked, camped, and cooked among other things for almost two weeks. Taught several skills required to make the trip a success. During downtime, offered advice and tips on attending Salisbury University and living life in Salisbury, MD. Answered any questions the freshman had about starting a college career. Created lifelong bonds with each of the freshmen that went on the trip and am still friends with them today.

Dockmaster for April – December 2009 (Seasonal) Harbor Island Marina

Scheduled appointments, responsible for check-in/check-out and immediate customer service, docked and fueled boats/yachts, maintained the boatyard and parking lot, picked up trash, and mowed/trimmed the lawns. Acted as the marina’s general manager/second in command during the owner’s absence.

Also held Events Coordinator position for Pi Lambda Phi Fraternity MD Kappa Delta Chapter.
I planned all of my fraternity’s events. We host dozens of events every year both on- and off-campus.
Served as the fraternity’s bartender and chef for events that required alcohol and/or food service.
Strived to be an active member in Salisbury University’s:
H!PE Society, Education Club, Exercise Science Club, CEO Club (Previously held Vice President position), Phi Beta Lambda, PRSSA, Outdoor Club, LGBTQ Alliance, German Club, TOMS Shoes Club and the Student Activism Club. Participated in each intramural sport offered at Salisbury University each semester.

COMMNUNITY INVOLVEMENT:
Volunteered for Salisbury University’s “Relay 4 Life,” “I Love Salisbury” and the
“Big Event” each year. Volunteered in “Recycle Madness/Mania” each semester.
Volunteered for Salisbury’s Seagull Century, Tim Kennard Run, and the Eastern Shore Senior Games. Volunteered for Wicomico County’s Good Beer Festival, Autumn Wine Festival and Pork in the Park.
