As a lover of mixology and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment, I was very excited to see the open position of bartender at House. With my years of experience in flair bartending and customer service, I feel I would make a great addition to your establishment.

From my enclosed resume, one can see that my interests in customer service and bartending are portrayed in my years of experience and education in the subject matters. As a student who is working through college, I have always been fascinated in the skills and education I acquire. There is an art to bartending and providing the best customer service to maximize profits and tip shares. While studying at the Texas School of Bartenders, I was introduced to the world of bartending and mixology. I learned the basics of mixology and common cocktails, liquors, wines, and beers. While attending the Texas School of Bartenders, I also was employed as a Bar Back for the University of Texas at Austin Athletics Club. As a bar back, I was introduced to a fast-paced bar environment and learned the basic duties and needs when it comes to producing high volume drinks and service.

At TGI Friday’s, I received behind-the-bar training, how to present and make a cocktail to recipe, and was introduced to flair bartending. My 2 years working as a bartender at TGI Friday’s, I was able to become more detailed oriented and control a high volume bar while providing excellent customer service. I was also fortunate enough compete to win TGI Friday’s Bar Champs annual competition at the local and regional levels, being tested on speed, accuracy, overall competency, and flair bartending.

As I looked to further my education in bartending, mixology, and flair bartending, I came across the European Bartending School – Las Vegas and attended the 2-day flair course. While attending EBS Las Vegas, I was able to acquire skills in working and exhibition flair. After graduating the course, I was offered to work at casinos in Las Vegas on a 10-day contract with Planet Hollywood and Cosmopolitan. While working in Las Vegas, I was introduced to a night club/casino high volume bar and became proficient at servicing multiple guests at once to maximize profits and reduce waste.

After moving to Miami, I wanted to learn about bartending in Miami and how I can be successful. I enrolled in the Elite Bartending School at South Beach. At the Elite Bartending School, I learned common drinks served in Miami, Florida licensing and serving laws, obtained above a 90% in precision pouring, as well as work on my high volume skills. After graduating from the Elite Bartending School, I was offered a position with their catering company and have been working as an on-call bartender working events ranging from wine tasting events to the Ultra Music Festival.

With my years of experience in bartending and customer service, as well as my education in mixology and flair bartending, I feel I would make a great fit for House. Attached is my up-to-date resume.
