I spent my last year in Santa Barbara revitalizing a music blog, EasyLove Records, and its brand. I’ve spent a year organizing local events showcasing local DJ/Producer talent, as well as working to cultivate the local music landscape away from the dominant sounds of pop EDM, towards a more diversified and deeper electronic scene. Part of taking over the blog meant learning my way around the world of social media marketing, as well as developing relationships with artists, management, and PR groups from around the country. I have come to realize that I really enjoy this. After a year of work, EasyLove Records is again a recognized establishment in the Isla Vista and greater Santa Barbara music scene.
