Old Oak Ranch (summer 2011 internship)

Old Oak Ranch Conference Center is a mountain Retreat located in Sonora, California. This reteat provides the opportunity to experience a serene place for people to escape their everyday lives and enjoy time away. Old Oak Ranch can facilitate anything from church retreats, school-club retreats, school field trips, scrapbooking/quilting retreats, family reunions, weddings, day camps, men and women’s retreats, any group gathering.

Position: Staff/Cabin leaders daily duties included helping prepare breakfast lunch and dinner, helping work the activities which included a ropes course and rock climbing wall, working The Snack Shack,  working as a lifeguard at our campgrounds pool. If we had a group of kids for a summer camp are additional responsibilities included staying with our group of 5 to 7 kids at all times; from bringing them to the campground bathrooms to bringing my assigned group to the dining hall for breakfast lunch and dinner, taking my group on the hike to the Activities Center, taking my group to the pool and keeping an eye on them, taking them to the community center for Bible study and worship, taking them to the game room as well as The Snack Shack.

Rigatoni’s (2012 – 2014)

Position: Waitress daily duties included welcoming guests as they walked in, taking orders via the phone as well as in person, completing food orders, keeping the kitchen and restaurant up to health code standards. I was also responsible for keeping inventory stocked correctly. I was responsible for opening and closing the restaurant and register.

Grocery Outlet (January 2015- September 2015)

Position:  Clerk/Checker’s daily duties included bagging customers groceries, collecting hand baskets and returning the carts to the front of the store. I provided excellent customer service, maintained the cleanliness of the store by cleaning any mess that may come up by using the correct technique for protocol. Putting the discarded or damaged merchandise in their appropriate place. I also operated the register and had to memorize various codes for different grocery items in the store, having the ability to identify fake checks and counterfeit money from what was real, as well as being able to learn all the new procedures for checks- including ‘Wic’ and traveler’s checks.

Costanoa Resort: (September 2015-April 2016 )

Position: Caterers’ daily duties include checking in with the lead caterer on our daily activities. I am responsible to work various types of Banquets that can range from five-star level Corporate Executives to birthday parties, anniversaries, casual dinners, fine dining, weddings with 300 and more people, small weddings as well as some concerts. I am also responsible for keeping great communication skills with the kitchen staff to be sure the right food is being served as well as a sufficient amount and that it’s served on time.
