QUALIFICATIONS
1. Demonstrated ability to entertain, communicate and socialize with persons of
all nationalities and all ages and backgrounds
2. Competence in the management and maintenance of audio, video, lighting and electronic
equipment associated with the entertainment equipment of the assigned ship.
3. Competence in professional music software is desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist in the running and operating of all entertainment lighting, sound and technical
equipment in all areas onboard, both inside and outside as directed by the Senior
Technician and by working alongside the other members of the onboard technical team
2. Liaise with and report to the senior technician regarding the lighting, sound, musical
and technical quality aspects of all entertainment activities
3. Assist with guest entertainers technical requirements as required
4. Assist the senior technician in undertaking quality control of all technical matters
regarding entertainment areas onboard
4. Perform onboard DJ role in the designated disco venue with the ability to cater for
a wide audience
5. Operate AV for the varied light entertainment programmer, mainly
PowerPoint presentations, and sound cues for game show formats
6. Assist with daytime activities including quizzes, dance classes and demonstrations
7 Assist with stage setups and pack downs for main theatre shows, light
entertainment games and band sets in various entertainment areas
8. Provide technical support in the secondary lounge
9. Under the direction of the Senior Technician, carry out any general technical assistance
as required including weekly general cleaning and be responsible for maintenance of
technical equipment
10. Ensure the correct usage and storage of technical and staging resources, reporting
any faults, damage and/or replacement requirements to the Senior technician/Stage
Manager. Provide first-rate disco entertainment on each night of the cruise as directed by
the Senior Technician.
