Responsibilities: Customer service was the major emphasis of this family friendly store. I was required know how to operate the drive through, make sundaes, milkshakes, smoothies and general ice cream orders. Upselling was also a huge part of working here. I learned that some people enjoy getting bakery and candy items, which had to be weighed, along with their sundae. I was required to keep the dining room and counter area clean, along with restocking ice cream, candy, and dry goods. Knowledge of the register was required.
Starbucks November 2014 – August 2015
Responsibilities: As a barista I was to ensure our customers were greeted as soon as they walked in the door. Always with a smile, creating that warm and welcoming environment. I was responsible for collecting and ringing their order, answering any questions and ensuring that they received what they desired. Making sure our customers left happy was #1! There for full knowledge of the drink menu, baked goods, and retail was a must. I was also responsible for general cleanliness throughout the store. Stocking, day dotting, prep and dishwashing was also a part of my daily duties.
Moe’s Southwest GrillJune 2013- October 2014
Responsibilities: While working I provide friendly and efficient customer service, which includes keeping a natural smile on my face, answering questions about the menu and making the burrito/taco that the customer desires. Cleanliness is a must for any establishment that serves food. I was responsible for washing dishes and general cleanliness of the restaurant. Other responsibilities include prep work, stocking for next day, recognizing when food is low and refilling it, and complete knowledge of cash register.
StarbucksJuly 2013- February 2013
Responsibilities: At Starbucks speed, efficiency and friendliness were mandatory for providing excellent customer service. I was required to know how to make all beverages on menu, and ensure that the customer received the exact drink that they ordered. I was also responsible for stocking supplies throughout the day, and maintaining a general cleanliness throughout the store.
Bub’s Pizza Bar October 2015- February 2016
Responsibilities: At Bub’s we served fresh stone fired pizzas. Working here gave me a lot of practice when it came to serving. We sold pizzas by the slice, or a whole pie. Taking phone orders and working the register was basic knowledge. When it came to in house customers, we were to keep track of their drinks/refills. Giving me lots of practice with pouring beers and making alcoholic beverages, while also keeping track of how many slices they had. I was not only a server, I was also a cook. I was to make sure our slice warmer was full with a variety of pizza options, along with making whole pies for deliveries, take out or in house customers. With that prep was a must. We cooked our own meats, cut and bagged. Prepped veggies, and stocked basic items. This job helped me immensely with prioritizing.
