Description
I have been an avid user and fan of Beatport for almost 10 years. In fact, I even assisted and advised on options surrounding the closure of Beatport’s branch office in Japan (Beatport was my client).
Outside of my full time job, I developed 3 brands during my three years in Tokyo- all related to music, nightlife, merchandising, and marketing. While I love Tokyo dearly, I believe an opportunity with Beatport will help me align with what I care most about in this world: music.
Brands I’ve built related to the music industry and nightlife:
EarPeace (jp.earpeace.com)
Tokyo Night Owl (www.tokyonightowl.com)
Bassick (bassick.jp)
My experience ranges from setting up multinational corporations in Tokyo to being one of the founding members of a Japanese start up (EarPeace). I have seen the full spectrum of business development, marketing, and market expansion during my days in Japan. I am now looking to extend my experience to the USA and beyond. And while the days were spent with assisting companies expand, my nights were spent with self-study of digital marketing, music production, web development, editorial writing, and branding.
Beatport is a company that hits the crossroads of everything I care about: market entry/expansion, music, branding, and marketing.

I am one of a team of 3 individuals (2 Japanese and myself) and my role is the Japan Sales Representative of EarPeace International. I arrange meetings for branding partnerships with clients such as Red Bull, Fuji Rock Festival, and block.fm.
While in the context of a company, much of my work is freelance is the sense that I utilize my own network of graphic designers and translators to deliver quality pitches to those in the music industry.
