Investment Banking Analyst – Infrastructure Transport, PPPs, and Principal Investing                                                                                           July 2016 – Present

·        Performed analyses on a principle investment opportunity in a $200mm cross border transportation infrastructure project, including political, economic, and environmental risks as well as financial and investment modeling

·        Aided in the financial analysis and pitch to utilize Macquarie’s newly created debt fund in a bespoke restructuring solution

Selected Transaction Experience

Sell-Side Advisor to a large private equity fund on a $500mm sale of a power & utilities infrastructure asset

–        Built the valuation model for the sell-side process to be distributed to potential bidders during the due-diligence process

–        Developed a rating agency presentation to seek a rating upgrade prior to the launch of the sell-side sales process

–        Conducted extensive regional and national industry research on both government-run and privatized comparable assets to assess current fee structures and the asset’s growth opportunities and risks

–        Maintained dialogue with client throughout the process to review progression on all aspects of the sell-side process

Macquarie-Led Consortium Investment Opportunity in the failed ~$1.0bn bid for the Fargo-Moorhead Flood Diversion Project

–        Collaborated with eight consortium companies during the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process to build the Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) response; responsibilities include analyzing and tracking forms for proper submission, ensuring each section of the response addressed the given criteria, and compiling the final document for submission to the Authority

–        Evaluated and provided comments to consortium members on qualitative sections of the response to better address the RFQ

–        Conducted internal administrative checks alongside Macquarie’s risk and legal team in the United States and Sydney to ensure proper responses and to provide guarantor support for Macquarie’s investment arm from the parent company

 

Investment Banking Summer Analyst – Infrastructure Transport, PPPs, and Government Advisory                                                     Summer 2015

·        Delivered a 130-page Feasibility Report for a $1.0bn + transportation government advisory role to determine the best suited construction and project procurement option between a traditional design-build and a PPP

·        Responded to 5 consortium SOQs with over 40 Requests for Further Clarification to perform due diligence during the pre-procurement process of a $1.0bn + PPP government advisory deal

·        Constructed a case study presentation of Australia’s asset recycling and Queensland’s asset privatization initiatives for a government client, exemplifying the multiple opportunities to use the proceeds received from privatizing brownfield assets
