Description
My name is Will Hinson and I’m a director, cinematographer, and video editor. I’ve done freelance nightlife videography in Gainesville, FL for three years, shooting for artists such as Virtual Riot, Loud Luxury, Xuitcasecity, Waka Flocka Flame, Ty Dolla Sign, and Walk the Moon.
I’ve spent the last three years working for the USSSA Pride, a member of the National Pro Fastpitch league, to build their digital brand. With the Pride, I oversee the day-to-day operations for content creation. This includes social media content, feature length programming, and in-house video board content. Managing high-school and college level interns is a large part of what it takes to accomplish the volume of content needed for the organization’s four athletic programs in addition to the Pride. I have provided USSSA with its most engaging content. For example, I shot, edited, and co-wrote a feature story on a physically handicapped softball player, amassing over 200,000 views on social media.
Throughout my professional experience, my cinematography skills have been honed by shooting the pilot episode of “Legends of Muck City” for NFL films. Creative freedom is a responsibility I thrive with. An example of this would be the short film that I directed, shot, and edited which won two Silver Tripod Awards at the 2019 Campus Movie Festival at the University of Florida – Best Director and Best Performance.
