I am passionate about entertainment, specifically the music industry, and spend much of my spare time researching the field, attending shows, discovering new artists and following trends. I am eager to continue learning about this field and feel that with my past experience, I will have much to offer your company.
Throughout college, I made sure to take courses that would make me a well-rounded and skilled individual. I majored in Communications because it allowed me the freedom to take a diverse set of classes that included much coverage of the entertainment industry. Many of my courses and internships were related to Journalism, so I was able to gain research, writing and communication skills. In addition to that, my love for popular culture and diversity led me to double major in American Studies.
I graduated last May, but my learning experiences did not end there, I soon after pursued internships in the music industry. I had the opportunity to intern at a startup company called Vidiam, where I worked 3x a week in the marketing department. During that short time I learned many new things including how to send email blasts, conduct media outreach and create viable social media posts. I recently completed an internship at a public relations boutique, D.Baron Media, which represents several artists and companies including Avicii, Cazzette, and Dick Clark Productions. During my time here I have been able to sit in on client phone meetings, assist the publicists with analytical reports and most importantly witness first hand what it is like to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
